Busy-ness

My mom and sister stayed with us for the past week. It was a blast! We had TONS of fun together. I haven't been keeping up with most things as a result. They left last night. Now my house is a little more quiet, and Marné has been wondering where everyone went. I suppose it's time to get back to business. I have loads of things I want to do and make. It seems that my list always grows longer and longer. Not quite sure how that happens. But for now, I think I want to just go take a nap.

Eterna is almost ready!

My handsome hubby started playing the piano when he was six years old. He has been working on his CD for quite a while. He started composing songs when he was just a little kid. It is his passion. Eterna will be ready in a few weeks. Hooray! I'm so proud of him! Check out his website here.

We tried making these little beauties over the weekend. They turned out pretty well for the first time. We got our pan here. They are delicious with cinnamon and sugar.

If you are a Caesar salad lover like me, you must try this dressing. Spencer and I haven't had it for a while, and it's back in our fridge. The asiago flavor is amazing. Welcome back, friend.

Back to Business

The past week has been very busy. After recovering from the crazy sickness at our house that everybody we know seems to be getting (luckily I've survived so far), Spencer and I took off for the weekend. He had a conference, and I got to tag along without Marné. I went to the closing dinner and auction with Spencer, and then we spent the night in this super fun hotel. The room had a deck with a hot tub on it. It was fabulous.

My sister's wedding is coming up very quickly. It's 2 1/2 weeks away. There is still a lot to get done, and my mom isn't coming back until the week before the wedding. Fun, crazy busy times. Yay!

In other news, my white purse that was previously assaulted by a baby with black pen is slowly starting to look better. My friend Alli brought over some nail polish remover to try. (I know what you are thinking. What girl doesn't have nail polish remover? I do have nail polish remover. It's just a gel kind without acetone, so I didn't think it would work.) This is the progress I've made so far. I bought a magic eraser, so we'll see how that goes.
